Poljana
Poljana, with 294 inhabitants, is a picturesque little settlement in a bay, on one side bounded by the picturesque peninsula St. Peter with a 13th century Romanesque church of the same name and a series of houses on the other side, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. The new church from 1999 is dedicated to the Queen of Peace. Poljana is connected to Preko and located southeast of Sutomišćica. Farming, vegetable growing and olive growing are the economic basis. In Poljana there is an old school, two restaurants, one shop, a children's playground and a sports field. The numerous wells and water sources and the large number of sunshine hours are the reason why many vegetable and fruit species are successfully grown here, both in summer and winter. |

Sutomišćica
With 336 inhabitants, Sutomišćica is located in a large sheltered bay that is a haven for boaters (Olive Island Marina is one of the best marinas on the Adriatic). In the village is the baroque summer residence of the Zadar noble family Lantana from the 17th century, the Church of St. Gregory from the 14th century and the Early Christian Church of St. Euphemia, who is also the patron saint of the village. The professionally equipped football field in the centre of Sutomišćica by the sea is the pride of the island football club St. Michael. To the southwest of the village is the Vela Glava hill (238 m), offering a magnificent view of the Zadar archipelago and Ravni kotari. Sutomišćica is located on the regional road running along the island. The Lantana summer residence with its spacious park and chapel has all characteristics of a Baroque Venetian construction. The ceremony of handing over the duty of the Venetian dodge for Dalmatia and Albania was organized in the same. |

Lukoran
Lukoran has 503 inhabitants and three hamlets: on the coast Mali Lukoran, and in the interior of the island Turkija and Korčulanići. The picturesque tourist place has many hidden bays, and the large campsite also contributes to the popularity among tourists. According to legend, in Mali Lukoran, one of the greatest poets of Croatian romanticism, Petar Preradović, enchanted by the sunrise on the island, composed the famous Croatian patriotic poem “Dawn is Breaking, Day will Come” (“Zora puca, bit će dana”). The beaches are surrounded by centuries-old pine forests, and the economic basis are farming, viticulture, olive growing, fishing and tourism. Lukoran is mentioned in 1075 as the estate of the Benedictines from Zadar. The Church of St. Lawrence with Romanesque features was erected in 1877 and took over the titular of the abandoned church in the cemetery. The new church was built from the ground up, so there are no traces of earlier periods in the same, only the altars were carried over from the old church. Underneath Zmorašnji Lukoran (on the main island road) are the remains of a Gothic church and building; according to legend, they were built by Egyptian monks in the 14th century. Hill Šćah above Turkija and Korčulanić is the highest peak of the island Ugljan - 288 m. It is located northwest of the prominent island peak of St. Michael. The peak is marked with a pile of stones with a cross and the name of the peak. |

Ugljan - Čeprljanda
Čeprljanda is the first in a series of hamlets in Ugljan if it moves from the direction of the ferry port in Preko towards Ugljan. It is believed that it is named after the plant that the local population calls "Čeprlj". The plant blooms in spring and is characterized by long thin leaves with a fleshy shoot. The hills of Straža and Mali and Veliki Kuranj towered over Čeprljand, from which a beautiful view of this hamlet, but also the whole town of Ugljan can be seen. Čeprljanda is known for the longest-lasting festival on the island - Čeprljanda festival, which dates back to 1979, and is held on the first Saturday in August. |

Ugljan - Batalaža
Batalaža
Only a kilometer from the center of Ugljan is the hamlet of Batalaža. The two main beaches in the hamlet make the cove of Batalaža ideal for lazing all day and relaxing by the sea. If you decide to spend time diving in the cove, at the bottom of the sea, you will find the wheel of a mill. The found remains of a Roman villa built during the Roman Empire, which served as a place of rest, socializing and relaxation, also tell us about the popularity of Batalaža in earlier times. |

Lučino Selo
The center of Ugljan is the hamlet of Lučino Selo. In this hamlet you can find a post office, an ambulance, the parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the tourist office, various restaurants, bars and shops. Lučino Selo is adorned by the sandy beach Mostir where the sea is always a degree or two warmer than on other beaches on the island. Next to the beach Mostir there is the most important protected cultural property of Ugljan, the monastery and the church of St. Jerome. |

Ugljan - Muline
Muline
At the very end of the island is the last hamlet of Ugljan - Muline. Muline abounds in beautiful beaches, groomed trails, along the coast and inland, for hiking and biking, and thanks to the port and mooring it is a common choice for boaters. In Muline is the most important archaeological site on the island of Ugljan from the 1st century with the remains of a large ancient oil mill where the famous Liburnian oil was produced. This oil mill was one of the strongest in the Mediterranean, and next to its remains today there is a replica in life size. |
